The national telecommunications operator of the Kyrgyz Republic, OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom", summarized the results of the I half of 2023 at the meeting of the management of regional branches and the Board of Directors.  "Kyrgyztelecom" is aimed at strengthening key economic indicators, which is evidenced by the results of the company's work for the first half of 2023.

  "Kyrgyztelecom" increased its assets by 36% compared to the indicators of the last year. The growth in revenues exceeded twice in comparison with the same period of 2022, net profit exceeded the planned indicators. At the same time, in order to increase the company's profitability, expenses are optimized, a system of key performance indicators for employees is being implemented, and joint work on collaboration with subordinate companies of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic is being worked out.

  The national operator, more than 76% of shares of which belong to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, continues active development of backbone communication lines and facilities, providing broadband access to the Internet, covering almost all settlements of the country and border areas of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Company's technical services modernize trunk lines and provide backup channels using DWDM technology.

   "Kyrgyztelecom" continues to improve conditions for subscribers: on the tariff plan "In Plus" the speed of Internet access in the Mir and KG zones was doubled. The design of the corporate website www.kt.kg was updated, and the service for customers was improved.

   Web-cameras in online mode are installed and functioning in all regions: those who wish can see panoramic views and weather conditions of the area in real time. 

   The range of IPTV channels from Kyrgyztelecom has been expanded: local, entertainment, movie channels for family viewing and top sports TV channels have been added. For greater convenience of customers, the company's own IT service introduced a new platform of interactive television IPTV based on Android, the advantages of which are updated and convenient interface, the ability to work without TV set-top box, time check, currency exchange rate, weather forecast, radio broadcasting and YouTube.

   Call-center service as a pilot project was introduced for calls to the emergency ambulance service 103 of Osh city.

  As it is known, "Kyrgyztelecom", as the leader of the consortium together with Elkat LLC, started to implement the 1-component of the project "Digital CASA-Kyrgyz Republic" for the provision of broadband access operator services. At the end of six months of 2023, Kyrgyztelecom laid about 540 km. FOCL throughout the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, covering 390 settlements of the country. The Company continues to develop backbone networks and follows the course to improve its platform as an infrastructure provider.
