OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom"  and "Kazakhtelecom" JSC signed the Memorandum of Understanding, consolidating the intentions of the parties to create the International hub of Internet connections in the region and develop cross-border digital cooperation.

     The document provides for the implementation of a set of technical and organizational measures aimed at strengthening the network infrastructure, including:

• creation of a regional Internet traffic exchange hub (IX),
• localization of global content in Kyrgyzstan,
• development of interaction with telecommunications operators in the region,
• provision of modern hosting capacities.

      The parties also expressed readiness to develop joint data transmission channels, simplify access to peer-to-peer connections and optimize interaction between networks, including in the direction of China-Europe/CA.

       As Bekten Dzhandaev, Administrative Director of Kyrgyztelecom JSC, noted, the signing of the document opens new opportunities for expanding the digital ecosystem of Kyrgyzstan and improving the sustainability of Internet services. From the side of Kazakhtelecom JSC, Dauren Uvaliev, Director of the International Agreements Department of the corporate division, took part.

       The Memorandum is not legally binding, but lays the foundation for further technical cooperation and joint initiatives in the field of telecommunications.
