OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom" and the joint venture Global Optical Communication Uzbekistan LLC signed a contract for the supply of fiber-optic cable for the development of telecommunications infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan.

        In addition to the supply agreement, the parties concluded a memorandum of cooperation aimed at long-term partnership in the field of telecommunications and technology exchange.

        The supply agreement provides for the delivery of two types of fiber optic cable totaling 110,000 meters:

• 40,000 meters of drop cable with dielectric construction and central module;
• 70,000 meters of cable with modular stranding reinforced with glass strands.

        The total value of the contract was $31,880. The delivery will be made within 45 calendar days from the moment of contract registration, with delivery to the warehouse of Kyrgyztelecom OJSC in Bishkek.

        The signed memorandum provides for strengthening of business relations between the companies, joint work on modernization of communication networks and introduction of advanced solutions to improve the quality of telecommunication services in Kyrgyzstan.
